Quick Question About Aftermarket Bov
#1
I have an S4 and am in the garage (right now actually) and was wondering what you guys used to block the hole left on the back of the TID when you put on an aftermarket BOV that exhausts into the atmosphere. I could just go up to Pep Boys or Autozone but I like talking to you guys more. Any ideas would be appreciated.

When faced with a problem such as this, I usually go digging in my toolbox (not my good one, but the other one, where all the odd bolts and nuts and little clamps end up).
Maybe a big bolt with an even bigger washer, a 1" piece of rubber hose about the right size, and a clamp to make sure it all stays put? And some blue RTV to seal it up airtight.
Just use your imagination, but make damn sure that what you use can't get sucked into the TID, because it'll kill your turbo.
Also, I've heard that venting the BOV to atmosphere can cause driveability issues with the stock AFM.

Thanks for the info guys. I found a threaded plug and put it in. Works great.
You are right about it blowing into the atmosphere. Had to make some major adjustments to get it to even idle correctly.

Intake pipe from like a 94+ civic has the right bend, its alum. Get one of those. 40 at autozon and like 30 on ebay.
