how many engine to tranny bolts are there on an 86 n/a?

locations on bell housing would be good too

pulling motor and cant seem to find them all



and one more thing should i just undo the big bolt in the middle of the motor mounts?

There are five bolts holding the engine to the bellhousing. One is near the oil filter with a big ground on it. The other is semi-covered by the starter. Two more are pretty much directly opposite the last on the passenger side. The last one is on the top of the engine with the engine houst mount attached to it. That bolt is threaded in to the engine housing so you only need to take off the nut. As for the motor mounts just crawl under the car and take off the nuts underneath, that should be good enough.

get a shop manual, it has diagrams of this stuff... and if you're doing a swap you will probably want it handy.
