Hi I just got my first rotory and I'm super excited. Its an 87n/a and its in pretty good shape to be 20 yrs old. About a week ago I got the oil changed and the mechanic asked if the car had been sitting somewhere for a while? The person I purchased the car from told me it had been off the road for just over a year. Naturally I explained the situation to the mechanic and sorta brushed it off. This got me wondering... Is water in the engine something I should be worried about? Am I looking at a rebuild?

Any answers would be appreciated. Thanks! I do absolutley love this car!

It could be alot of things. Unless it is alot of water it could be condensation from the car going from warm to cold. If it is alot of water it could be that the coolant/water froze in the engine and warped it a bit causing some water to filter down. Could be a bad o-ring ??? since you changed the oil just drive it watch temps and look at the oil the next change if problem persists you might need to rebuild and check for warpage ! !!
