? what do u mean? the clutch disc must touch the flywheel.



so the clutch disc face should face the engine.



that disc looks funny for some reason

Well there are 2 sides to the clutch, I have taken pictures of each, in #2 the spring come way out.... which side should face the engine?

The it should be as close to the pressure plate as possible.. So side #1 as you say would be the right way. Against the flywheel it should be very close to flat.

does look like a wierd clutch though...then again I've never worked on a 2nd gen.

Thanks lanny, maybe its aftermarket?? I have never seen a stock t2 clutch, I got this one off the net.

All TII clutches look like that. There should be some kind of marking on the side that faces the tranny. Its just two letters I believe.
