So, Ive smelled gas for over 9 months, never thought anything of it, and then tonight, i smell burning plastic, and i pull in my garage pop my hood and i see a fire looking at me on my fuel rail, so I put it out before it gets crazy, and i notice the arm that connect to the TB that does oil injection broke its cotter pin and wasnt working, so im pretty sure the motor is fine, but the harness is toast...

I think i got very lucky tho...

Oil injectors stopped working, HOT HOT + Fuel = Ignite

I pulled the manifold to find the oil feeds severed...somehow they got too hot or something, and the arm that connect to the TB like i said, was off so it wasnt injecting oil, oh well time to rebuild..muwhaa....

Same thing happened to me on the way home from Niagara one night. When I pulled the UIM off there was a fuel line with a small slice in it too and it was spraying fuel all over the top of the keg. Lots of fuel spray stains. I was very lucky!

yea same thing happened to me about 3 months ago.. I turned my car on after work. let it warm up for a couple minutes.. pull out of the parking garage and its running hella hella shity.. so i shut it down and pop the hood and notice my engine bay all on fire. luckily there was a fire extuingisher right by me so i put it out quick. i found a big slice in the fuel hose leaking fuel everywhere.. luckily i just needed to replace the harness and not the whole motor.
