'Tis lookin' great so far, how much did your fuel system set you back, and any idea what power levels it is rated for? And don't worry about getting those pics all that soon... Most of my time is spent designing cnc parts for my senior design project.

FSAE Differential Mount, custom fabbed by CNC:

Attachment 18471

jwteknix 03-06-2008 05:00 PM

fuel system probly set me back at least 2000 have to add it up w/ lines, fittings, pump, regulator, rails, injectors and filters should be abled to handle any reasonable amount of power i throw at it the a1000 pump is rated at 900lph and injectors 1000 and 1680cc should be plenty of fuel for my bnr stg4 for the next year until i go gt4094r i dont want to have to redo the fuel system ever again

brake and clutch system is probly around 700 w/ lines, fittings, launch control, reman masters, slave and ez bleeders

nice work on your mount. will you be replicating them?

well got lazy today and its really nice out so it sucks, but I did get a little done. I ran to radio shack got a couple of inline fuses, shrink wrap , and a few other misc. Things. Grabbed radiator, efan, intercooler and piping from my other garage. Then I put new mounts on my oilcooler and mounted it. Put on my custom TID and hks air filter. Then wired my primary injector pigtails, alternator and water temp sensor. Just need to wire my fuel pump and line lock. Got afew new pix but nothing special.

jwteknix 03-12-2008 12:31 PM

well got a little bit done today

hooked up pfc and adaptor to the car just have to wire a couple things up. reran my fuel retune line b/c it was bothering me where i had it last time. ran my ss oil cooler lines. mounted and hooked up my beat up koyo radiator and fiero efan just have to get some new clamps, and heater hoses then wire up the efan. almost ready to mount the ic and piping then comes the dreaded diff swap and some more wiring then off to the body shop. ill post pix in a little

jwteknix 03-12-2008 12:45 PM

return lines ran to FPR, clutch line ran to slave, return line from tank,

jwteknix 03-12-2008 12:57 PM

....pix not woring it say im over the memory size and i dont even have any pix loaded? wtf

1Revvin7 03-13-2008 07:26 PM

Can you say fire? Hot fuel costs power and gas mileage too..

Also those 90degree elbows flow like ****, its fine for the return out of the rail, but you should have 90 degree -an fittings..

jwteknix 03-14-2008 04:56 PM

those 90s are fine I agree the an fittings flow better due to the enlongment of thefitting but it is what it is and theres plenty of pump to move fuel there no problem. as for a fire i don't think it will be getting too hot over there the turbo will be blanketed and dp wrapped. Thanks for your advice I wish more people had some good construtive criticism.

James

jwteknix 03-16-2008 03:13 PM

ok so I got all new heater hoses and clamps from work. Also mounted and ran the intercooler and pipes not really much more to do besides more wiring and diff swap. I'll have a week off of work next month I'm gonna try to finish every thing between now and then.

jwteknix 03-19-2008 01:34 PM

well its raining out didnt get too much done today. cleaned up a few loose ends. ran my speedo cable, wired my starter and trans and adjusted my ic mounts so it s nice and strait now. i have an bunch of pix but ill just post a few of how it sits now

james

jwteknix 03-23-2008 03:34 PM

I no its Easter but its such a nice day out I couldn't help but to do a little work on the car. Ok so the fuel pump is completly rewired as per nzconvertable and hailers. The efan is almost completely wired but I just have to find out what wire I have to use to have the PFC trigger it on. also have most of the line lock wired just have to run to radio shack and pick up a few things. Once I'm finished with these little things I'll wire the last three wires that need to be ran from the PFC. Then I can fill all my fluids load my base map and see if she runs. Then I have absolutly no choice then to swap the dreaded diffs and ****

James

jwteknix 03-26-2008 03:01 PM

finished all the started wiring today after i ran to radio shack this morning got a bunch of ****. put a switch on the center console on the blank spot next to the security light, looks nice and ran all my battery + wires to behind the passanger seat where the batteries been relocated , then strayed off, painted my cowl and wiper arms and put them back on the car. still need to wire the pfc its really not too far from start up.

james

jwteknix 04-02-2008 02:48 PM

well after I hooked up the trigger to the efan. i hooked up all my pedals and mounted the steering colum an cover. Then I got all side tracked and decided to cut some holes in the new carpet so I could mount my seats. I got one side of the rails to mount perfect but the other side is even with the mounting holes but theyre an inch or so too short so I'm gonna have to get good welding so i can just extend the mounting point on the rail. Still need to wire a couple things for the PFC. I'll do the rear end in a couple of week when I take off from work. Other then that I'm looking for a carbon fiber sunroof top and black manual window doorpanels if you can help me out let me know thanks.

James

jwteknix 04-09-2008 01:48 PM

well got my dataloggit yesterday from NZ, so i put that in and finished the last of the electrical **** today. i could actualt start the car if i had a battery, oil ,gas and kev to load my base map lol. so sunday ill start pulling suspention ****, should be fun lol

james

jwteknix 04-12-2008 06:06 PM

Ok got a miata battery, the nice small one. Also got some like new black manual window door panels. will be doing the suspension tommorow and I have the rest of the week to do the diff. brought home a bunch of tools from work should help alot. update tomorrow.

James

jwteknix 04-13-2008 01:51 PM

well finished swapping over all the suspenstion today 5 lug swap and 4 pot calipers. i painted the calipers black to look nice w/ the white paint and attached my ss lines and fittings, also got some earl speed bleeders. i have some slotted and cross drilled rotors on there and also installed my RB swaybar and maxdatrix adjustible links. got a bunch of pix of every thing w/ my new tokito blues and intrax springs everything looks soo pretty, i love it lol. every thing just took a while b/c i had to put all the other 4 lugs **** back on the other car so i can still move it around. any way no work tomorrow soo i havent decided if im gonna fill the fluilds and everything to get it started or just drop the diff in one of the cars. more tomorrow

james

jwteknix 04-14-2008 02:13 PM

well dropped the diffs out of both cars today dropped the entire suspension and sub frame w/ it. the na diff was really easy because I just dropped the bitch on the ground and drug it out from under the car w/o the wheels on. The tII on the other hand was much more difficult b/c I left the wheels on to make sure I didn't **** any thing up. Anyway I'll put the diff in tomorrow and go get fluids for it then I just have the make kev load my basemap up for me, then vroom it needs body work done. I still have too talk to rob about this LOL. More tomorrow

James

jwteknix 04-14-2008 04:44 PM

just picked up all my fluids for tomorrow.

jwteknix 04-15-2008 02:10 PM

well finished every thing today just have to order some hose and ends from summit so i can finish my rear brake lines. i already bleed the clutch, and coolant systems filled it w/ oil and tomorrow ill go get some 5 gallon drums full of gas. then im just waiting on kevin who knows how long that could take lol

james

jwteknix 04-17-2008 01:07 PM

Have new 8.5mm magnacor wires and corksport 3in dp on its way more tomomorrow hopefully kev will come over w/ his laptop later

Rob x-7 04-19-2008 03:04 PM

your progress would be more exciting for the reader with some pictures

jwteknix 04-22-2008 03:24 PM

rob, i have plenty of pictures it wont let me load them into the thread anymore. i think i need to give phins some $$ lol, rob i still have to shot you a pm about all the stuff i still need done. but yea got "laid off" yesterday from mazda, i got a new job within 5 minutes. at acura w/ my old service manager. should be fun ,even making some money, but its a long commute hope the sevens up too it lol. tho i really liked working on mazdas they're cake. back to the thread i have all the brakes completely leak free, bleed, and line lock working. while double checking for fuel leaks i found a very slight leak coming from the pump spent hours trying to fix it in the car but it just kept getting worse so tomorrow i have but no choice but to remove the line and fix it god damn braided line cut me up real bad so i got so pissed off just left it till tomorrow.

james

jwteknix 04-22-2008 05:38 PM

ok can post pix now here one of the engine bay and a few of the car out of its hole on some new legs

Rob x-7 04-22-2008 07:00 PM

see now THATS exciting!

we may actually fire my car up in the next week or two.

jwteknix 04-22-2008 08:13 PM

oh thats awsome im trying to do the same hopfully lol

jwteknix 04-23-2008 07:42 AM

well, new magnacore spark plug wires will be here today. I just need to fix that one fuel line, and put the uim back on, and load the map. In a little bit gotta go down to acura, to talk to my old service manager, and fill out some papr work for the new job. Tomorrow my corksport 3in DP should be here w/ this serious front diff mount i ordered form here http://theg2ginc.com/fcdm/ due to when i swapped both diffs the mount on the na diff was completely ripped in half and the on on the tII looked really abused. once i finish all that stuff, i still have enough of that sound damplifier to line trhe inside of the doors w/ before putting on my nice pretty new door panels i still need to buy outside door handles and those are expensive but i still get me discount. My dad got me thinking yesterday, he asked now that this cars almost done whats gonna be my next project, and to tell you the truth prior to this, I never gave it much thought. I mean, I have plans for this car when it finally blows up on me lol. so I brain stormed for a little bit and i came up with my next project it will be a combination of both worlds i know rob will like it. lol ls1 fd to come when i start making some money again and after I chop off my leg to give to rob to paint my car lol oh its a nice day ill get updated engine bay and interior shots today.

James

jwteknix 04-24-2008 02:46 PM

ok spent like three hours ******* with that leaking fuel line after like five different attempts of removing and reinstalling the hose ends and reversing the line I got pissed and decided to grab my mirror and look at the bottom of the fitting on the fuel pump come to find a nice size nick out of the end tapered 45 degree angel which I think is the part of the fitting that actually seals. So I'm gonna order a new -10 oring fitting and pray to god that this fixs it. But yeah I put on my new magnacor 8.5mm wires they look high quality, also just came home for the garage and my 3" corksport dp and poly front diff mount were here waiting to be opened both of which also look very high quality. I have a pick of the dp and mount I'll post up in a little I'll have more pix of the car when I fix this leak and put the uim back on. More tomorrow

James

jwteknix 04-24-2008 09:38 PM

a buddy of mine had a extra roll of heat wrap so i wrapped up the dp, just need to clamp it down got it tacted up now w/ safty pins for now lol should help keep the bay temps down. I got the fitting that i needed ordered for tomorrow, it cost a pretty penny, but i wana get this god damn car finished already!! lol

here are a couple pix the dp and a few more of some of the suspension

jwteknix 04-24-2008 10:12 PM

jwteknix 04-29-2008 11:06 AM

jwteknix 05-02-2008 12:47 PM

just got off the phone w/ stage 1 performance a shop by my house about mating up my exhaust for me quoted me at ~250 bucks w/ all materials and labor. which includes cutting the 2 1/4in 1 peice exhaust dual exhaust i have, before the split to the mufflers and and welding in a 2.5in pipe from the split to mate up w/ my corksport 3in dp

i think that is legit w/ flanges, pipe, and welding required

james

jwteknix 05-05-2008 12:12 PM

got the car running pretty well today almost idles by itself but while i was ******* w/ it. my batt died on me, i think the alt is wired wrong more when i figure it the **** out
