With those programmable ecus could u program it to keep stock fuel consumption, then like hit a different map or button, and turn the Rx-7 into a gas gusslin hp machine? I mean could u keep gas mileage up and engine wear down when daily driving and with the flick of a switch change to full blown racer, and switch back after a sec?

You can switch maps on the ECU's, but it's not done instantly. Also, if your system uses a laptop then you'll need a laptop in the car to do it.

Too bad.......call around....

I personally do not like off the self ecu's. I would rather have it programmed according to the bio of the car.

Try XS Engineering.

The fuel map won't change instantly, and I'm pretty sure what your asking to do will involve a pretty expensive setup. You will need an independent system like a Haltech or Wolf3d most likely, along w/ a standalone PC type machine(laptop or even palmtops these days).... companies like Gforce don't make an ECU that can be changed manually like what your describing. They offer ECUs that have to programmed by them according to your setup. Oh well...I know it can be done, but I'm not sure of an exact setup...

It takes about a minute with the Wolf 3D. The TEC II does it in about 30 seconds.
