Question

When i went to go for a drive today i couldnt get the car to move. I started to go like i always do i brought the tack to 1 didnt move not even an inch bring it to 1 1/2 still not moving finally i go to 2 1/2, car starts to move and i hear a loud bang in the rear. I get out of the car to look and see if maybe something had been placed in front of th tires or something, nothing there. So what the hell happened?

he didnt mention it being hard to get in gear... i'm guessing either something is binding up in your wheels (someone played a bad joke on you perhaps?) or your rear end has a problem, like the ring/pinion binding up or a axle binding, maybe driveshaft... you could put it in neutral without the brakes on and see if you can roll the car...

well its easy, its either the clutch, tranny, driveshaft, rear end, or the axles. you need to get under the thing. thats really wierd

getting hard into gear has nothing to do with a burnt clutch. i burned my ****** and was still able to get it into gear, just not able to start it

TurboII:

I assumed it wasnt the clutch slipping, I figured seppuku would have figured that out on his own

oh and i've never heard of a slipping clutch causing a loud bang in the rear....
