pre 89 tranny will bolt to 89+ engine right?

the bolt patterns are all the same 74 and later (the at fd's and cosmos are but it still works). the only thing you need to watch out for is the turbo cars have a larger (240mm) clutch/flywheel/different starter.

sorry i was unclear, yeah i meant pre 89 tII tranny to 89+ turbo engine.

all TII trannies are the same i believe. i'm sure J9 will correct me if i'm wrong

87-88 and 89-91 TII transmissions have slightly different mounting points on the transmission. Besides that, all of the essential dimensions are the same. I'm using an 88 TII transmission with an 89-91 motor because I wanted the shorter 5th gear.
