I have a '88 with power steering but the pump (more specifically the cap/dipstick) is different from '86's & '87's that I've seen (and can find easier).

The pump was not being used when I got this car, after putting on the belt and filling it, it leaked badly.

Are the two pumps used interchangeable?



Any other suggestions for a pump stop leak (a good one!!!) ?

 

check your pump pressure lines thats where mine was leaking. i wouldn't put any think in the pump (other than PS fluid) alot of that stuff does more harm that good.
