I almost forgot on my now "dead '88 that might get a new engine"- the steering makes a little noise- mostly when it's cold/ cold day out. I've already guessed it's the rack.

Don't care about a little noise but, is this something that can go a long time without attention? I thought I read a post about getting rid of the power steering pretty quick and easy. Would this work for my problem? Thanks.

How long have you had yours? Hopefully longer than 2 months like me. If I get that new engine, that's one less thing against doing it. Thanks. That makes me feel better.
