Well, after 2 days of having my power steering pump off, i think it's great, allthough i do have to turn it a little harder (BIG FORE ARMS)

The only thing i cant figure out is why it wont stop beeping at me

I know it's the P/S warning beeper ' Beep, Beep, Beep "Small pause" Beep, Beep, Beep

I even tried grounding out the wires for the P/S (the ones that come off the pump) and that didnt work either

if no-one knows, i'll just turn the radio up louder... lol

Anyone know how to turn off the warning beeper for the Power steering?

It's obviously in the dash... but i'm curious as to if it's part of the redline/oil/coolant buzzer...

Thanks again. Markus

Blah... i figured it out... Well, there are two seperate wired going to the P/S pump

One is a low Fluid Sensor. The other goes to this really strange little motor connected with the P/S somehow

I just removed the motor from the P/S and plugged it in. Wowow. beeping is gone.

Than i tucked the little motor (1 1/2") Away so it's not seen. Any idea what that little motor does for the Power steering?

ditch that motor and unplug the PS computer like j9fd3s suggested, it's easy. And you can completely remove the PS computer from the car, just need a 10mm socket.

The motor is used to control the speed sensitive power steering.
