Well I asked this on the other forum--no response

A 88 motor being put in my 86

came with 4 orange top injectors--

My has 4 brown top injectors

I just ******* found out that the injectors have different color codes for the years--duh! I didn't think any thing about it when i put the injectors in when installing the motor. Here is the kicker i believe i put the brown ones in the prim, and the orange I know are in the secondarys---can this cause all my issues with major flooding ,stalling,no power,--just car running like total ****!

I think that one of the reasons that they are color coded is because of the impedance on the injector, some are high impedance and some are low impedance. You should probably use the same injectors that came off of you 88 motor until you find out what you have.

If i use the ones that came with the motor--wouldnt that throw off the ecu--different ohms would have to do something--hell,this **** has really got me frustrated

if you have a multimeter you could check the impedance.. it says how to do it in the FSM..

use the ones that were originally used with your current ecu.
