I thought you said you polished it? It looks like you wiped some toothpaste on it maybe and then wiped it back off. Pearl drops perhaps?
Now see this pic? That is a polished UIM. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/bigok.gif |

Dave knows how to polish I tell you. Look at that UIM.
That's why I was saying hit it with some really high grit to get a closer to mirror finish! I love how yours is turning out but don't give up until it turns out like Daves! (Or mine... https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub... ) Get the imperfections out of the casting! https://www.nopistons.com/gallery/al...l_100_0047.JPG |
T2777 has not been polished, thats more like sanded https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...DIR#>/wink.png
Obviously you can see what using polishing compounds does to the shine after its been sanded in Boost's pictures.. |
Is there a way to seal it so it doesnt oxidize in like a week. Clearcoat?

I tried some clear coat that eastwood company sells once about a year ago. It holds up well so long as you dont get any oil on it in which case it will yellow.
Here is a pic I took AFTER I clear coated my LIM. |
