BTW...where you buyin that from? I don't trust Jspec motors anymore...but they are good if you are doing a conversion(as i did)..since it saves you time and effort locating every individual part...but seriously, that motor looks horrible...buy a jspec from somebody reputable...

Sorry for multiple posts..bored at work...but the reason I say it looks like a series 5 is due to the thermostat waterpump neck being plastic..s4s had metal and it's hard to tell, but the BOV adapter looks plastic too, another trait of a series 5 motor..and all jspec say "ROTARY TURBO" on the IC...aspec motors show "TURBO II" on the IC...

I have to agree with Rotaryman on this one. That engine looks bad...

How long has it been sitting and where? Those pullies look rusted! Does he have it outside?

Its tested and cleaned and all and comes with a warantee. But, i'm going to void it anywyas by putting on my front cover and oil pan so it fits my FB.

I'm going to be taking off all those pully's anyways. I'm going to be running a dual alt pulley. Removing everythign else (ac and power steer, air pump, and all that crap).

I'm doing a blowthrough carb setup on it.

And for a thousand dollars its a good deal. Also, I will be able to sell all the stuf i dont need to get some money back. In the end i think it will cost me about $600.

I havent checked lately, but Dave at fc3s.org sells Jspecs for $1K..thats who I originally got one from a while back, showed up very clean w/ a 30day warranty and was gauranteed to start....its a 50/50 chance on those jspecs, no matter what anybody says, you can never know the mileage.

Also, those pulleys rust really quickly, so it may have just sat for a week. Thats cool your putting it in an FB though...sounds like a good project, I want to put one in a Mazda B2200 pickup for ***** and grins...

Well, have fun..let us know how it all works out..should be pretty damn fast!

My buddies and i estimate about 300hp to start off with, that should be fun for a while :-)

THe problem w/ buying from someone like fc3s or something, is i have to pay several hundred dollars shipping. I can't afford that right now. I'm looking northwest USA, somewher ei can drive to pick up.

IF i can't get it through tese guyss, then i'm going to get a shortblock s5 from corksport, however corksport gives LESS promises than these guys do on ebay.

Plus, the guys on e-bay are closer.

EDIT: Where the heck is the BOV on the tii engine?

EDITED EDIT: Your avatar roxxors, rotaryman

The BOV is mounted between the top of the turbo and before the IC...it's a little black valve venting back into the TID, and has a vacuum line coming off it. You can't really see it in the photos....
