I spent quite a few hours porting the stock TB, but I removed alot of material, and had welds to grind down in the process.

Looks good. You should polish the WP housing too, make that engine really bling Probably would take another 20 hours though

Looks good revvin. I couldn't really tell by the pic, but did you knife edge the centers like pengaru looks like he did? I did on mine while I had it out. Don't really know if it does anything, it kinda makes sense that it would.

if you look closely at mine you will also notice the raised part in the primary port is gone on my TB, this along with the knife leading edge, and welded holes left by removing the double throttle and raised area in primary port, results in what I feel a pretty good result for the stock TB. I never ran this TB though, just did it then went straight to the TWM setup after spending too much time porting the stock manifolds and deciding they still sucked. So I don't know if this TB helped or hurt, it sure looks purty though.

While I was going at it with the TB mods, I did the same thing. If you read any about the engine competitions that they have in the V8 world, they do everything possible to un-restrict air flow. Seems like their solution to many things is JB weld and grinding it away to make a smoother surface. It actually can make a difference of a few hp. What ever helps.

How long did porting that TB take you, Pengaru?
