i put in atf while i was outside. engine sounds very healthy https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.png i have to take off the UIM so i can remove what's left of the old wiring harness. i plan on dropping it in this weekend. i need to get my lightweight flywheel resurfaced. i want to put in my FMIC also. might be looking for a custom cheap radiator while its all apart. just to add to the list. i need to order the racing beat ss oil cooler lines too. so much stuff !

YucA 06-17-2002 05:08 PM

turbovr6 06-17-2002 05:09 PM

Hey that first pic is of me!! Thanks for that great action shot!!! lol

Well the truck of death with 265,000 miles on it is not to happy today, overheated a few times :( I see that the fan clutch is bad, hopefully thats it, but then again if it's more than that, that's my excuse to drop the rotary in https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR:)

vosko 06-17-2002 05:20 PM

thanks getting the engine with me. it would have been very heavy to carry all the way home https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.png

You can get a Griffin radiator for $200. It won't be too hard to install. If you want SS oil cooler lines you can just buy the RB adapters, 3 big and 1 small. Then just use some -10 hose and fittings.

Where did you get it from? I'm gonna be in the market for an engine real soon and i'm starting to get to gather possible suppliers and prices

It's not that heavy. Just put a harness on it, and make it a backpack.

Get one from Summit. You just need to get one with the same emasurements as stock. Are you planning on using an electric fan?

13BAce 06-17-2002 07:08 PM

Summit also sells both Howe and their own brand. They're also good.

The radiator will be easier to do with an electric fan, but the stock fan will be fine.

1Revvin7 06-17-2002 07:48 PM

The 19x22 radiators should do ok. Travis Shrey has pictures on his website: http://home.earthlink.net/~burntoast/index.html

It would be funny if we got the TII to be faster than the FD.

we definetely could but it would require more than a used jspec engine and panspeed tuned ecu

From the first picture to the last..... GHETTO FABULOUS!!! :bigok:

My truck rocks.... transportation, cargo hauler, and even a work bench!!!

Rob x-7 06-18-2002 08:17 PM

You need to have yourself a garage sale. at least it would make way for a car to fit in there.

vosko 06-18-2002 08:20 PM

at one time my FD was in there. it is filled with my parents crap that i am not allowed to throw away

turborotor 06-18-2002 11:24 PM

So did you get teh flywheel off. I didn't want to bother with it when I replaced my engine, It had no blue spots and was dry, even the pilot bearing was in excellet condition. I just used some sand paper and that's it.

C

vosko 06-19-2002 09:08 AM

i took the flywheel off. the one on there is in ok condition. when you gave me a ride your car is fast but mine rev'd so much faster with the lightweight flywheel. everything is apart might as well put it back on like it belongs https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...#>/biggrin.png

I would say to have the injectors cleaned/balanced, but that will require extra downtime.

Infini IV 06-19-2002 09:02 PM

How much was the Griffin radiator?
