I'm new to rotary engines. I have an '86 non-turbo engine. I have seen other discussion about the benefits of the "sleeves". My question is how many sets would I need to buy. Is it one sleeve per port. I have a six port engine. Or should I only buy a total of 4, because I have heard some discussion that the fifth and six port might not even one without enough exhaust back pressure.? Or is it just two????????

I believe mazdaspeed7 is selling them, you might want to check with him. I can't see putting nylon in an engine. As I think it might melt.

one set (2 sleeves) is all you need. But you will need to take out your stock ones to send to rob first. He sells you a modified set and he uses your old set to sell to the next guy. I would replace all of you hoses while doing this swap.

As everyone said you will need one pair for your engine. I just ordered some up yesterday as a matter of a fact. They were 52.85 with shipping (49.99) without. Pineapple no longer wants your cores and only sells the inserts. What you can do is call them, tell them what you want and give them you address and phone number than send them a check for the inserts. Their phone number is 503-233-3878.

I just got a set from Pineapple a few weeks ago. They look like they will improve flow really good. He told me to just press them in with red Loctite. Is there anything better I could use to make sure they stay in place? I'm sure he knows what he's talking about, I'm just thinking I could use something stronger but I'm not sure what.
