That's pretty neat but the S-AFC is cash money so I gotta show it off. What's with the plastic cover over the ashtray. The two 7's I've had both have had the greenish/yellow discoloration. Is that from like smokers before me or is it just the plastic going bad? Which gives me an idea. Would it be possible to dye it with Rit dye. I colored my plastic R/C parts with that stuff back in the day. It worked perfect for those but is the plastic different and would it warp or melt or something like that if it goes into boiling water?

Yeah, true. I'm gonna tint the window like a **** when i get it running. I hope that helps deter the thiefs, plus I live in the burbs so I'm not too worried and I dont go into the city that much.

And Erik that pic is hilarious in your signature. Is that you? And is that a mullet?

nice .. I have mine mounted in the ashtray.. well I ganked the ashtray and put it in there. It's not a clean install since it has spaces around but It fits and it doesn't slide around yet still easily read due to it's angle.

What are the main differences between the S-AFC and the S-AFC II? I've seen a ton of RX-7's with the S-AFC, but none with the S-AFC II. Is there any reason for that, or is it just because it is much newer?

It's the newer model of the S-AFC I don't think they sell it in the states. I've seen it on ebay a lot though. bl|nk, you should cut out a hole where the S-AFC can stick out so that you can see it still and you won't have the spaces around it.

oh yea and the S-AFC comes in 3 models. 1st being old old skool **** style adjustment. 2nd gen the one I have and maiersq has. 3rd gen (S-AFC II) same functions as the S-AFC (2nd gen) but with different display and it now taps into the knock sensor.
