She wasn't running when I bought her, but Friday night she turned the quarter in 15.6 at 90 mph. Next step is the HKS downpipe, which I should have on Monday.

looks good. stock my 89 TII ran 15.3 @ 88 MPH with 100+ K miles on it. if you start doing exhaust work i would suggest sending out your ecu to get reprogrammed. E.L. Prototypes can do a good job

I'm running an E.L.P. ecu in my red fc and it seems to be doing the job. When the next dyno day rolls around I'm going to take it and see what's up.

$2k

Turned out all that was wrong with it was it was flooded. Real bad. I pulled the plugs and the EGI fuses and cranked it at least three times for 20 seconds. It blew a huge cloud of fuel vapor the first two times. I changed the oil right away. It smelled like fuel.

The paint looked like hell too. The car had been sitting a while, but it came up real nice. I haven't even buffed it, just washed and waxed it. It's got a few little dings on it, nothing I can't stand to look at.

Yup. That would be my lovely wife's absolutely gorgeous '78 Corvette L-82. Of course, the RX-7 is faster. The '78's weren't very fast. Only 220 HP and all that weight.

She likes the 7. But the Vette is more of a head turner, and still a lot of fun to drive.
