Overheating and other stuffs

Well... I think my car is over heating :-p...



As in the needle int he temp guage got to the H part of the temp guage in less then 15 mins. I didnt really understand why it did that, however, right now, I'm getting my thermostat replaced this evening, as well as flushing my radiator.



In addition to that, the car when it was running right would jump from 1k rpms to 1500rpms, I'm thinking this is a vaccuum leak. I remember someone saying something about a box somewhere, but I coudlnt find it and whatnot.

idle jumping is most likely a TPS needing adjustment or a vaccuum leak.



the overheating thing can be a ton of things, lets see what happens after a new tstat and fresh coolant.

Take the cap off the filler neck and start the engine cold. Check for tiny bubbles continually floating up.

what the hell is a tps? lol... Sorry, still very new at this rx thing.

that write up helped me out, radio shack didnt have the exact bulbs, but very similar ones. i also had the idle jump, same rpm range. i changed spark plugs and set tps and the jump went away.

my car idles better with the tps unplugged.



that said, when it was na i misadjusted it on purpose and didnt really see much difference.

my t2 used to do funky **** with the TPS unadjusted.



i make it a habit to check my tps like once a month.

the TPS was actually adjusted properly in that video....i later determined why it would shoot those fireballs but never mentioned it cause it ruins the video lol.



but alas by the time i took the car apart for its overhaul it no longer made mamoth fireballs.



oh and ive been looking for that pic lol, the video is saved on my flash drive tho
