i just bought an 87 t11 which i havent driven yet but at around 3500rpm it starts to run terrible. the mechanic described it as "at around 3500 it falls on its face".

the car is supposed to have 3500 km on a new motor and turbo it has 173500 total.i thought it was injectors so they got replaced and nothing changed. i have 2 stumped mazda mechanics and i am at a loss for words. the mechanics at this shop have another 87t11 with the same problem and they changed all the sensors and computers and still it doesnt run properly. has anyone heard of this?

Is it the all-too-common grounding problem?

grounding issue most likely. the famous 3800rpm hesitation. pretty common for a car that is close to 20 years old. or it's just mazda's. lol

3500rpms eh? if they just replaced the injectors make sure they double check the injector connections, if theyre loose they wont turn on and itll fall on its face.

The knowledge and common sense at Mazda dealers fade the further east you go.
