I began premixing a couple of weeks ago and it rules. I'm going to be removing the OMP pretty soon. I've gone from 15-16mpg to 20-22mpg. teh Win!

Also, I just installed my FCD today and wow.

I never knew my car was so effing fast. there is now life after 4000 rpm!

Just thought I'd share.

What is your mix ratio with the omp still working? What is an fcd????

When i started premixing i noticed that the engine ran alot smoother.

Premixing improved your gas mileage by ~40%? There is no way you gained that much efficency just from less friction. The extra oil is probably helping improve the compression which means that your rotor housings are probably scared up a bit and the oil is sealing them against the seals better.

How many miles are on the motor?

63500 original miles. Time for a rebuild?

I imagine the premix is leaning me out a little bit as well.

my initial MPG numbers could get as high as 17-18 mpg if I stayed out of it, but 15-16 was average.

an FCD is a fuel cut defenser. It allows you to run higher than stock boost levels without the ECU cutting fuel to the rear rotor. You must, of course compensate with fuel, but that's what it does.

Premixing is great. What ratio and oil are you running? I usually use the cheapest stuff I can get and dump 1/2 qt per ~12gal fillup, almost exactly 1%.

try a compression test if you're worried about engine wear. I bet you're fine. But extra boost does have it's price...

I use 1oz per gallon, but I never fill up over 1/2 tank. My milage sucks the big one on a full tank. (extra weight I guess)

There aren't that many places to get uber-awesome two-stroke oil around here, so I've been using Quicksilver. It's reasonably priced and it's tc-w3 certified. It seems to work very well. anybody have any other suggestions?
