My oil metering pump has gone bad and I found a new one. but my REAL question is where can I find a replacment for the four plastic tubes that can from the oil meter pump. It looks like I have a crack in one and another is spliting. I heard rumors that their are a steel braided kind avaible where can i get them?

I looked for some, to no avail. Mazda sells the plastic ones, Other than that you will have to make braided ones.

If you've got spare time and are low on cash, you can make your own.

If I hadn't used weedeater fuel line on mine I would have gotten these. Still may someday.

Anything to get away from those stock units that get brittle with enough time under the hood of our hot rotaries.

Cheers

when I rebuilt my engine I put the plastic ones on from mazda. How long of life should I expect out of them?

Oh I'm sure they'll last a long time if you used fresh new ones. The cars are old and every one I've ever ran into has brittle lines. These were probably all OEM I'd bet. They should last the life of the engine.

I just see it as an area that needs improvement. Our underhood temps are way up there.
