Im kinda concerned with my oil injection. I know all the electronics to it are hooked up, as well as the injectors and lines. However, 1 line broke when i was removing it, i since fixed it, however oil did leak out of 1 line. Since its transparent, you can tell when oil is going through it. Well the engine has only idled for about 5 minutes at most and i noticed that line hadent become full of oil. I was wondering how often it injects oil into the combustion chamber and if i need to idle the car longer for it to go back to normal.

Thanks,

i would suggest just removing it and plugging the injector holes and running premix

if all the lines are filled and that ones not...then id be worried that its not working right

so either fix that one line, or get rid of the whole system......if you dont fix the line or remove the system youll have to premix

and youre getting stand alone soon, so youre gonna have to premix anyways

soooooooooooooooooooooooooo .... i guess start practicing now eh?

up?

yeah, that would make sense huh? unfortunatly the omp is electrical on s5, and when you take it off it will send electrical errors to the ecu and go into retard mode. (from what i hear, but i do know it sends codes). Hence why you cant just take it off a s5. However, on a s4, they are mechanical and you can strip it right off.

lol.. yeah, im gonna buy some 2 cycle oil and start putting it in just to be safe. Im not sure what exactly is going on with it .. better safe than sorry https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.png

hmm...cant you rip it off....take the electrical part, and keep it plugged in...just let it hang

it takes a little while for the oil to make it up the tubes, remember is only injecting like 6cc per minute, thats like a couple drops

sidewinderx7 01-29-2004 05:23 PM

ok cool, thats what i figured. but i wasnt sure if the tubes got primed and the injectors were whats regulating how much oil is dropped in.

i'll check it after i let it run longer.

from what ive heard from a pretty reliable engine builder, when the ecu reads the omp isnt working right the engine will go into a retard mode.

the only thing i dont like is... you said theyre all full now...except one....

why would one not ..they all inject at the same ratio
