Oil Cooler Lines...
#1
Im worried im going to rupture an oil cooler line before I get a chance to get SS braided ones in. Im seeing 60 PSI at idle, and around 100-105 psi by 2000 rpm. Should I be worried about blowing an oil cooler line?

Im running a TII oil pump, FD rear regulator (100 PSI), and have the front regulator shimmed to ~105 PSI. I also have brand new type 2 main bearings, and the stat gears were machined for the bearings. Also modified the oil jets on the ecc shaft for more flow.
And the gauge and sender are correct, and my oil pressure is supposed to be that high.
Noone answered my question though. Do you think the stock lines will blow?

how did you shim the front regulator?

I don't know the answer to your question but, wouldn't adding bigger jets to the eshaft drop the oil pressure; reversing the high pressure of the fd oil mods..? [/quote]
It *should* lower the pressure. But the TII oil pump flows A LOT. My gauge never reads below 60-65. As far as the jets, I left the ball and spring in, just enlarged the hole in the jet. But, the ball only closes off the oil jets at low pressure, and my pressure is never that low. So the effect is the same as using the weber jets.
