It should consume a quart every 1500 miles or so once properly broken in. When freshly rebuilt I think it consumes more but Im not sure on the exact amount. Im sure someone around here will know.

With a leaky oil cooler line right now, I lose about a quart every 300-400miles....the leak isn't THAT bad, some of that is consumption...its a newer SP engine with ruffly 7500 miles on it. Before this motor, my other had 160xxx miles and it didnt burn a drop...so you never know.

if you have the metering pump wired open, it will burn more oil than normal.

My oil cooler lines seap a bit too. I plan to replace the copper washers next time I change the oil.

no OMP, block off plate on mine. On my old motor I was running stock OMP, it ate up a little..but you

hardly noticed it..nothing like my new engine...I'm pulling it apart again here soon anyway..

mild streetport sucks! Heavy is next...
