I noticed that when it's cold outside (below 45 in FL) I hear something like a clicking sound when I turn the steering wheel...any thoughts?

when I accelerate from a stop, and sometimes otherwise, I can hear a definite clunk/click, like a metallic clink; could that be bad suspension?

sometime my car idles at 1400, other time at 400...nothing in between, just one or the other...doesn't seem to be affected by how long the car's been running

Just a few things I noticed. Anything to worry about?

it is done for....ship it to me

the clunking off of a start could be U-joints/ driveline lash issues. Engine mount inserts worn out, tranny mounts broken?

the idling problem....accesories on or off...? check that

1 ?

2The clunking noise is the rear diff. mount bushing going bad.

3 This one isn't a good thing. Start by changing your plugs and wires. If that doesn't fix the problem then you should have it taken to a shop and have them check it out. It could be something simple and it could be something really complicated and bad.

Hope this helps.

more details: I think the cold steering thing might not be temp dependent, I think I just noticed it at the same time it got cold....it's more like a bucket of bots rattle

after some careful listening, the clunk at take off is more like a loud click, or loud metallic tick...it's not something I can feel through the shifter of clutch, and I don't feel the vehicle vibrate from it. My brother's taurus motor mount went out, so I know what that feels like, this isn't the same. I can really hear it coming out of the right side, echoing off of buildings and cars. just thought I'd clarify.

it is done for....ship it to me

for the shipping charge, you could probably buy this car

edit: that's sarcasm, not a for sale ad
