what tools would you guys suggest to do the switch? i think it needs a 7/8 but the wrench is too long and i dont a big enough socket that is deep enoough. i know to get the old one off i can jsut use a really deep socket. am i gonna need anything to tighten it when i get the new one in? if it needs to be more than finger tight i guess i will need to get a shorter wrench. will it need to be more than finger tight??

I couldnt get my old one out. It seemed like the will of god was holding it in. I put a crowfoot wrench on it with a 5 foot cheater bar and it wouldnt come out. So I guess ill just have to run extra rich for a couple weeks untill I pull the engine to do my rebuild.

If you do get the old one out though, make sure to put some never-seize on the new one before you put it back in.

I don't know whether using a crows foot would multiply the torque or reduce it, but with a 1/2 inch drive O2 sensor socket, extention, and breaker bar, I've always been able to get an O2 sensor out of an FC.

Use heat!

How many times do I have to remind people!

Heat up the one side of the threaded part of the manifold with a regular little propane torch, break out your regular 22mm wrench, spin it off.

It requires such little torque that I can do it with the manifold off the car and I'm holding it in one hand and the other with the wrench.

I tried it without heat and I couldn't budge anything for the life of me
