I was looking over the engine today and noticed that the wire coming off of the O2 sensor was just hanging and I cant seem to find where to plug it in at. I vaguely remember it was somewhere under the UIM, but I dont have all my tools at school so I cant get it off. Does anyone know if and how I can get to the O2 sensor plug without taking off the intake?

Oh yeah, I looked through the Haynes manual and I cant find anything about the O2 sensor. I briefly looked through the FSM at fc3s.org but didnt see anything right away. If anyone knows specifically where to find the info, that would help a lot.

oh, and its an 86 N/A if that helps

Thnx

Andy

it connects to the same part of the harness where the coolant temp and bac valve connect.

it's possible the wire is broken, mine was.

the wire you're looking for is brown and has a wire shield around it.. make sure you hook up to the inside wire, not the outer protective wire..

Just did this on a 1988 N/A. Wire is under the UIM and if your lucky it can be done without taking the UIM off, we just removed the bracket under the BAC valve, and were able to put another wire on the broken piece to a brand new O2 sensor. Previous one ripped out during a header install when I attempted to pull the connector apart and the wire broke free instead of the connector.
