So, my T2 is having a hesitation at 3-4k which i power thru and at 4k its a real beast, well tonight i was on my way home from school, SRT4 and I go at it, I bounce off my hesitation, and then fuel cut several times, I cant go WOT it stutters hard, and doesnt put out any power until after 4k it aslo stutters at max boost in any gear after 2nd. And tonight, i just kept on it and it stalled out and died at like 110mph. heh...And i found oil on top of my fan shroud, i think i could have some issues to work out with this thing...stand alone comes next month hopefullly so we'll see if its a new engine and a stand alone, but I wanna check out my duty cycles at full boost....
Any ideas bout this?

you hit fuel cut multiple times?
you do know you're going to pop your motor that way, right?

rotary + extreme lean condition = pop
therefore
fuel cut = pop

Theres no fuel at all when it happens and that means youre not lean. Theres no "a/f mixture" present to be lean ( or rich for that matter ). Fuel cut isnt what blows up engines. Its people getting FCD's and overboosting that blow up engines. If fuel cut was so dangerous, why do most stock cars use it to limit RPM?
Ignition cut is what can hurt cars. Cracking manifolds, blowing up exhausts, and all kinda of bad stuff can happen from letting fuel pool up in the ehxuast.
For the record, I do have a Haltech and I do limit my RPM by fuel cut.

Yeah, top end hesitations are bad, but the car seems to be fine other then the usual 3.8k hesitation and its using more fuel then I can venture to guess, somewhere around 5mpg...any ideas on shitty fuel economy????

Things that are bad for rotaries are also bad for stock cars. If fuel cut killed rotaries you better believe it woulr do serious damage to piston engines also. I Am with adamlewis on this one.
tancred, I had an 87 TII that had some serious hesitation problems similar to what you describe and it turned out to be my TPS. Sometimes alot of electical parts cleaner would fix it and other times I had to adjust it. Basically, mine was on its way out and needed to be replaced. There is a write-up with instructions to make a tool to adjust it, I kind of think it was on fc3s.org or com or whatever it was.
