No synchros in 1st gear??

Holy crap. Thats what happened to my celica then. Ill take pictures as soon as I can. I should become an engine tester, cause if it survives my driving, then and only then can it be labeled as "bullet-proof".

hmm 4th to first down shift @ 80mph would be about 16000 rpm only :smilewinkgrin: i think your engine could take that :sigh:

I know a guy who did it in an RX-7. I think he messed up the rotor bearings and apex seals.

We'll get a 20K RPM tach and try it this weekend.

My friend Steve always used to shift 1-2-1 when he was learning to drive...that was in my Mom's Toyota, and it handled it fine. I think 4th to first would be a little more extreme.

It was meant to be 4th to 3rd, but you know how spazzes are.
