no spark WHY!

havent had to go this far myself, but i think it wouldnt be too hard to trigger the coils by yourself, at least youd know if the coil->wire-> plugs worked or not

alllrighty firmware reloaded, no dice.

checked the ignition setting after the reload they were fine.



so does any one know how much voltage the coils take to be triggered?

5v?

I forget which wires it is but there is a signal wire that takes a 12v signal.



IIRC: On the leading coil, it fires both plugs everytime that wire sees 12v. On the trailing coil, it fires one plug when the wire gets voltage, and the other plug when the wire loses voltage.



I'll double check that later.

cool so i just supply 12v to the power then tap another 12v to the signal and i should get one spark correct? when using the leading pack.

Try changing the plugs and wires, you would be amazed of what that does. Also change the blinker fluid while you're at it.

yeah yeah yeah... but i had replaced them allready so unless you can explain the freak occurance of brand new plugs being bad... i dunno what ever... it was annoying im just glad its fixed. you can now commence giving me ****...
