Thumbs up

In the ongoing saga of my '91 n/a, I seem to have found the problem. No compression on the rear rotor at all. iIt was running great... a clunk and the starter went out... then with the new starter on I have no compression back there. Anyone know anything to check before I look at a rebuild? When I got it the catalytic converter was blown open... could an exhaust blockage problem cause me to lose compression? I don't really think so but... some people have implied it could. Any ideas?
