forum newbie

back ground:

growing up dad always drove rotory cars from mazda.... from rx3 wagons to a 94 r2 in silver......

in 88 he bought a 10th anniv for my mom...... it has been BABIED and is in great cond.....

she refused to let us or anyone else drive it..... (this is the only non modded one he ever had)

it still has its org turbo and engine (never been apart or out of car) 160,000 miles

this is the little old ladys rx7...... mom used it to commute 100 miles to her southern house...

today they gave it to me....... I am gonna keep it oem for mom

I am as happy as a puppy w 2 peters pix to follow

I am sorry if this should have been in chat

Sounds sweet man. So when are you going to get one that you CAN modify? That engine will probably be on it's way out in the next few years too... so an OEM rebuild will be in order.

Congrats! And never mind all these crazies saying you should have a car you can mod. They would rather be working on their broken car in their driveway than be driving a nice stocker.

My philosophy has always been, if you need a car you can modify, then you need at least two cars.

Having modded cars is what it's all about, you guys are nuts.

You should always have another car though..a stock/reliable one to get to work and back..my sig shows I'm aware of that!
