looks hot.... makes me wanna own an FC

Mazderati 02-05-2004 10:02 PM

Skimming the splitter on that guy would not be so good seeing as how it is made into the bumper cover itself.

Is this one of the replicas or the original piece? Looks like nice work.

avoid 02-05-2004 10:06 PM

very nice

FiKsE l2X SeVeN Jr 02-05-2004 10:10 PM

that's is indeed very nice... wish i had money to buy an FC and then buy that

rotarychainsaw 02-05-2004 10:54 PM

WOW, awesome!

1Revvin7 02-05-2004 11:18 PM

Fitment looks great! Looks like it all lines up very nice! I am glad to see you are making the replica, making it cheap for us. I have always wanted one, but the price for the authentic one was just obnoxious. I will be ordering one of those from you by this summer. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/boink.gif

i.didnt.do.it 02-06-2004 10:54 AM

Damn...thats ****** nioce man!

Just a question though:

Have you gone through DOT with that?

Just outta curiosity...They dont crack down on **** like that here...but I know they do in other states/countries.

djgiantrobot 02-06-2004 12:31 PM

usually when they check its to see if you have a bumper support and not just fiberglass on the front. I dont think that changing the stock bumper to this if you leave the bumper support is going to make too much of a difference in terms of crash protection God forbid. If you were refering to the headlight kit i am interested to know as well.

Midnightdriver 02-06-2004 12:37 PM

that is one very good repo. thats the front end I will be using on my fc. when I get the cash. always had that plan now they will make it easier to get.

SpecialT 02-06-2004 01:34 PM

Very nice!

As well as being candy for the eyes, fitment looks great!

rotaryextreme 02-06-2004 03:03 PM

The bumper shown is made by our company. The lights are the Hella 90mm which are DOT approved. To install the bumper, you will need to modify the bumper reinforcement bar because the mouth is bigger than stock.

MazdaMike 02-06-2004 09:16 PM

i was thinking that fc is sooo freaking hot then i realized i made one exactly like it in tokyo extreme racer

rotaryextreme 02-06-2004 10:02 PM

I had the bumper released for over 5 months and so far only sold 5. Before it was made, there were at least 200 people saying they want it for sure, if it's made, they will buy it.

If you worry about a bunch of people will have it, I don't think you will have to worry too much. Even though it's a lot cheaper than the original one, it's still not like a $150 made in China bumper that everyone can afford.

We try to make something that's high quality for 2nd gen people. I already know I am not going to make big money off it. Actually I might just lose money in this case. Same thing on the GTC bumper for 2nd gen. Sold only 5. Lost $3000 right there on the mold cost. KS style hood, sold only 4. Lost $3000 right there also.

It's the same thing on the Attila 2nd gen hood. I think after a couple of months of organizing, they only sold 10.

If you guys really want to see some nice 2nd gen part, I really need your support by buying the bumpers. If we can't sell at least 20 of them, we can't afford to invest money on 2nd gen parts.

We don't want to leave 2nd gen people out of the picture but reality is that money doesn't grow on trees. Help us and we will help you. https://www.nopistons.com/forums/pub...IR#>/smile.png

As I said im saving for one at the moment should have the money by late May early June. Thanks for not leaving the FC people out of the picture.

teknics 02-06-2004 10:39 PM

chuck,

im highly considering this, depend son the money situation.

my car's body is shot right now and im planning on doing bodywork and paint in the july time of the year. Depending on paint and bodywork costs this will probably be on order from me. Right now im looking at around $3k for the paint and bodywork so hopefully i will have enough, ive always been a fan of this bumper.

Also do you know the difference in ground clearance versus the stock bumper? i dont want the front bumper looking 5 inches lower then the stock sideskirts and ****.

Trust me, I never want to leave 2nd gen people out of the picture. In fact, I recently purchased a 91 convertible and going to put a TII motor in there and do the bodykit. Trying to make it our 2nd gen project car.

Thanks for the support.

The bumper is like 1.5-2" lower than stock. So clearance is like if you have a front lip on the bumper.
