well my boy and his boy unplugged everything before i came from Florida. and it came from a vert, does that make a diff? and i looked at the engine bay harness in both and they look diff. oh and my 91 was in as many pieces as it could be when i got here.. there are two sensors in my oil pan, i think one is a metering sensor and one is an oil temp, the one on the right has a spot to plug in but not the other????

what am i missing??? are there common things that are easy to look over but might be so crucial as to make it seem like a fuel mixture problem?

it wont matter vert or hatch as long as its same series to series you shouldnt have any problems with it and since 89 is the start of the s5 and yours is s5 there is no reason for there to be different na to na shouldnt be anything different you should check the fsm

Usually if it starts, won't idle, but stays running with throttle, it's a vacuum leak.

And there's a section for FSMs on this forum.
