like it says i cant find the ******* neutral sensor i need to hot wire it so i can start my car w/o it having to get a push so any help with which wire is the neutral sensor or procedures on how to hot wire it would be nice thanks ....its an S4 if that matters

neutral sensor? you mean like the clutch switch or something?



theres a 5th gear sensor.

IIRC, there are two sensor plugs on the transmission. One is the 5th gear & reverse sensor and has 4 wires each with an independant plug, the other is the neutral sensor which has 2 wires and a combined plug.

thanks thats what i was lookin for ...do you know how to hotwire it ...like with a paper clip if its female ...or some other clip if its male or something? cuz my car wont start b/c of the stupid sensor

if you want to push start the car the thing your looking for is behind the clutch ped.. Push clutch all the way in and it pushes in a switch, bypass there.

no i dont want to push start it ...thats what im doing now tho ...and i dont it to do that anymore ...is that how i fix it ?

I think you can just stick something in the connector to bridge the two pins, altho i've never checked whether that switch was normally open or closed. There are only two states that it can be in tho, open or closed, so if it doesnt start when unplugged, then just bridge the terminals. Try it first with a paperclip, and if that works, then figure out something more perminant (cutting and soldering the wires together, tracing them back to the connector and bridging them there, somehting along those lines depending on how ambitious you are)

if its the white little clippy thing w/ 2 wire in it then it didnt work when i unplugged it and i tried a paper clip on the female side ...but im still a little shady on which wire it is exactly
