hey every1 i am new to this forum and new to rotary engines, but heres the deal..

im 16 and i might buy a 89 rx-7 from my friend, it was his moms car and was bought new and she is the only owner, its white and en veryy good bodly shape, there is just a little bit of rust on the moonroof cover, the car is completly stock and is manual, it runs and starts fine, but it also has abou 169k on it but has had a new clutch, new brakes, the rotors have been retrued, new alternator, fluel pump, and its been in on the shedluled date for tune ups, he is asking 900$ but i think ill get him to go 850 is this a good deal

I'd say that's well worth the price, just for a good S5 body. It's a bonus that it runs.

At that price i would grab it....before someone else does and you regret it. That motor should still have some life left in it, but get a new one for it.....you can either rebuild the na or drop a jspec T2 motor and tranny in it.....theres quite a few people that could do it for you....i myself can get you the T2 swap for about $1500...(complete motor, harness, ecu, and tranny) but you can definetly have some fun with that car. Go ahead and get it and join the dark side....
