Over the winter I swapped a TII motor into my N/A RX-7 and I am in need of a new clutch assembly. I am keeping the N/A tranny and diff in the car for the moment until I can afford to do a full TII tranny and rear end swap into the car. I am going to need a clutch that can handle 300 rwhp and not have a problem. I know the tranny and diff my not hold that much, but the clutch needs to for the time being. Any sugguestions on brand/type/style that you have used and worked for you. Thanks.

when my friend built the 20B 2000 truck, it took an rx5 bellhousing, which takes an NA sized clutch.

i think he used an act pressure plate and stock disc, its still fine and its been what 5 years?

Avoid Exedy clutches. I drive a 90' FC and have replaced the clutch 2x's. The first time i didn't know that the exedy was in it, and i bought one bcuz a friend recommended it. the clutch disc completely shattered, dampening springs blew out of the shell. was by far the worst disc i've ever pulled out. the 2nd was almost as bad, except the pressure plate was chewed up instead of the disc. Exedy = Bad, ACT = Good

centerforce dual friction all the way.... held up with me driving the crap out of it and a 75-150 shot of nitrous for over two years
