Need help/advice on A2M Swap, go to crank=fire
#1
I have a 87 rx7 gl that i swapped to manual, and today after finishing everything, and went to start her up the starter shorted/sparking= camp fire but luckly after initiail ahhh.... i got the fire out with miminal damaged...
i researched and read every post on doing the swap and studyied the FSM wire diagrams so im kindof boggled why this happend....
starter/tranny wiring
4 pin harness the 2 right side pins, connected the 2 red reverse lights to per rotaryresurection
cut b/w wire and spliced into orignal b/w going to the S terminal on starter to bypass inhibitor switch
went to start car, and the fireworks began...... (source of fire was positive post wire connection on starter from battery im almost sure of)
after i put out the fire, i pushed the car back in the driveway and jacked it up and did damaged control nothing major thankfully, i left the battery connected and while i was under the car i wiggled the starter wire that comes from the + battery terminal and it started sparking, which i assume was it being loose now from the insulator wire being melted so i disconnected the battery and came in with disgust because i cant figure out what caused it....
also i noticed that my oil pressure gauge raised to the very top with just the car being in accessory without it running, which i cant figure out either, as i checked and double checked for loose connections/wires ect before todays fire.. but i did have the radio grounded to a black/ red dotted ground which i read was not a good ground to use so i had disconnected it to see if that was the OPG problem but no go, so its another problem i cant think of what is causing the issue
any input would be greatly apperciated

got out today and figured out what happend, the L shape metal bracket that bolts to the positive terminal on the starter was hitting the side of the starter ground/shorting it out causeing the sparks that started the fire...........
now just gotta figure out whats causeing my oil pressure gauge to just shoot up with the key on accessory position and not running..
