I believe it's the relay the security system uses to disable the starter. On the cars with no alarm that connector has a jumper on it. If my memory is correct the jumper is a blue connector with a black wire just looped around closing the start circuit.

k let me get this straight, the egi relay controls the injectors and other fuel functions (possibly ignition as well) well since I'm using a whole new ecu is that relay obsolete??

Bigturbo's car has that relay, and no alarm. But its possible someone removed it, but it has to be for the alarm. I wonder why the hell the signal wire goes to the Powersteering fuse under the dash
a good sign of someone cranking the engine is if power steering is getting power, wala use the powersteering fuse.
