Getting closer to finishing my turbo project. Need to know if my TII trans is a s4 or s5 so I can purchase the crossmember for it. Heres what I know so far from research:



S4 has 2 bolts that attatch the brace/member to the transmission, one on each side, and the S5, has 4, with 2 being on each side. The reverse gear and 5th gear switches are in different spots, and the ribbing on the case is different.



Looks like s4 to me?

That's a S5 tranny.

how sure are you boost creep? Im gonna pick up an x-member soon...can you explain to me why? Thanks for the help guys!!!

If I can find me some batteries I will take a pic of my tranny which is a S4 and is somewhat different from yours. Let me go verify that, K.

I just had to put some rechargeables on the charger so it might be a while yet.

if it has 2 bolts bolting the mnount to the case it is a s4 and if it has 4 bolts it's a s5

The ribbing on my S4 is much wider on both sides than that on your tranny. It also has two bolts that mounts the tranny brace.
