Question

I was just sitting here thinking about what the next part will be I buy for my project FC. I then started thinking about how much I have spent on the thing. So I guess I'll give an update.

the 87 body I'm going to use has had the eng removed and insides removed from the seats back. soon I will be removing the ecu and harness and what ever else under the hood I wont need anymore. (if anyone needs an s4 T2 ecu let me know). Along the way I managed to find a parts doner car for anything that gets screwed up by local asses when my project is done. (some people like to break glass, and kick doors around here)



this is the parts list and roughly what I paid.



car1. 87 T2 (running) $1800

car2 87 auto (running) $500

Eng. 13B-RE cosmo $1950 (fc3s.org)

ecu. Haltec e6k $740 (or so) racerxmotorsports

Turbo Turbonetics T04E BB $1150 (shipped racerxmotrosports)

suspens. Tein HA $1114 (shipped next day RXECRET7)

wastegate Turbonetics racing gate $320 shipped racerxmotorsports)

manifold HKS stainless (fd3s) $860 shipped fr HKS japan/racerxmotorsports)

Rad. Fluidyne $425 (summit)

Fuel rail&inject. K2RD/ 1600 cc x2/ cosmo rail $320

eng mount. K2RD $250

fuel reg. SX $150 (rxecret7)

oil drain adapt. $13 (summit)

earls fittings (water lines on turbo) $6 summit

intercooler (unk brand possible model for costom) $100

block off plates K2RD (forgot price) $25

No kidding. thats why I've been considering a rebuild and port cleaning job. But I'm still waiting for my insurance thing to finish..if it does soon then rebuild/port cleaning on!! that and I'm going to run it light perhaps only 14 psi.

As Racerx goes many have a bad taste about them. They are very hard to get ahold of, often. they have given me 20% off retail on my large purchases. like the hks manifold, turbo, wastegate, and haltec. I haven't had problems with them for what I have gotten from them. but others have a diff. outcome with them. did they help me get things, yes, are many pissed with them yes. Some things I want they cannot get so other places I go.

lookin good. i'm going about the same way, but i'm up to 17K on my '89-RE buildup. T3/T4 60-1, super-sized intercooler, huge griffin radiator, bridgeport, balancing, nitrided, the works! i've already sank 17k and still have about 3 more to go. OUCHIE!! i can't remember what kinda SS exhaust manifold i have but its big and pretty!



do it right the first time! all right!
