Bought a streetported engine about 1500 miles ago, I had Ito drop it in, and now I'm getting flooding on and off.

Yesterday it was pretty hot, I cranked the car with the kill switch on, nothing. It turns but it seems like no gas was going in.

So, I left the switch off, cranked until the rpms built than I switched it on, worked good.

Happened on and off since yesteday.. Last night I turned it at night, and got a huge thump sound from the engine bay. I crank the car and get a huge thump sound, engine didn't start. So I popped the hood and did the same above with the switch and it worked.

What do you guys think is up? Do you think my engine is on its way out? I'm praying to god it isn't.

Anyone know who can usually do a compression test around the area?
