with the car running reach under the hood and start wiggling and

shaking all the wires to see if you can get your mystery idle problem to

show its ugly head.

yeah i did that. I began finger ******* (my terminilogy for doodling with thingz) the wires and what not. Yeah one day the car didnt want to start on me. It wasnt the battery cause there was light inside the car and when i turn the ignition i hear like a humming noise like froma belt but no crank or anything. I did have low gas at that time so that could of been the problem or is it the TPeeS that it rearing its ugly head?

Usually a TPS doesnt require adjusting as long as no one has touched it

and its functioning properly. There is actually a cap over it from the

factory. Is the cap still on there? Someone could adjust the TPS by accident thinking its the idle adjustment because of its location on the engine it can

tend to look like a idle adjustment, that happened when I got the AC charged on the GXL, my mechanic friend who charged it thought he was kicking the idle up a bit when in fact he was adjusting the TPS. The car didnt run right all the time, I adjusted it back and it was fine. I adjusted it by ear and driving the car and turning it off and on, but there is a way to make a device to properly adjust the TPS, someone must know where there is a write up for it somewhere.
