Do u have anyone to swap coils/MAF/injectors or ecus with? What kind of idle does it hold when warmed up?Do u have a vacuum gauge? When u put the plugs on were they drenched with fuel?

no I don't know anyone with a series 5 TII to swap stuff with. The idle sit about 300 acting like it wants to die. I do not have a vac. gauge. The plugs looked great on the front rotor, and the rear ones looked a bit damp, but not too bad. Now when I drive it it kinda lunges foward every now and then. I checked the coils and they are fine. When it's running my short range Air fuel gauge goes crazy. Jumping from rich to lean.

John has a vacuum gauge, if you want to check that. Also, check the wiring on the O2 sensor...some of those connections may not be the best.

gotta be a vac leak. How long has it been like this, was there something u did to it to make it run like this?

It started after a DP/MP install. No other changes.

ok, I must be honest, but you're not gunna like it. Yes I did something very bad. I took it out and ran it. Redlined 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and shut her down half way through 4th then my "check engine" light shut off(a bit odd). It sounded and ran great, but when I went to get back on the gas it ran like crap. I thought my Apex seal was gone. Now when I start it's putting out what looks to be oil burning smoke. I know I should not have been driving her so hard. It's just so tempting!

Maybe we should do a compression check too.

Did you check the O2 sensor wire?

Yeah Ed, I cut the wires and ran a better connection. How do I look for a vac leak? Just visually check all vac lines?
