Well my guy doing the 1/2 bridge on my motor just found out its an s4 motor. I went downstairs and weighed my rotors, sure enough 10.5#s. So I paid $1300 for a blown up ******* s4 peice of **** motor, that was suppose to be a fresh s5 motor. It did come with all s5 externals, and 1 busted rotor, 2 busted housings. Sweet! Hopefully he can find some s5 side irons.. S4 irons like to break around 400rwhp..

Is there really a differnce in s4 and s5 irons...........I cant see any difference.

The port size is the same........are S5 thicker around the oil filler or something? Just wondering cuz I recentley blew a S4 around the dowel pin on the rear.

s5 irons are reinforced on the rear iron around the dowel pin near the oil pedestal. Front iron is also reinforced.

Stock turbos on ALL FC's were Hitachi HT182S-S.

Only thing that changed with the S5's were a different exhaust housing.

That is all.

rotor housings? That doesn't matter. I will be using my current s4 rotor housings. But then again you aren't aiming for 550rwhp+...
