Well, project SE-X ran today. Cranked and cranked, played with the timing some more...and low and behold the motor spun over on its own power and ran for a total of about 1.459 seconds,lol...
...it just muffled out and wouldnt start again. Some light smoke was coming from the exhaust and it smelled very rich. I have a feeling its either getting to much fuel, or not enough air...possibly not the right timing still...I'll tweak it some more tomorrow. Just thought I'd let everybody know...

The original conversion to Jspec took 8 months...drove the car for two weeks, only one rotor..******* Jspecs! Anyways, started to replace the motor w/ a newly built one...and that has been another 10 months, not quite two years yet...I think I started all of this in October of 2001....I also work full time, am a student, and run multiple websites...so it's been a busy trip..and I've had a lot of holdups during the project. The sad thing is, its far from finished, even after it runs, I still have body work, suspension, interior, and the turbo kit...

Cool man..for real, you got the haltech running good? Are you still in the "startup map" or have you begun to drive the car?
sidewinder...I am building the car for a few reasons.
1. I loved my car, and didn't want to get rid of it, but wanted boost.
2. I don't like buying other people's work..wheres the fun in that?
3. It's different, its not a turbo II, and its not an SE...it's mine, I built it, I'm going to drive it, and I get the credit for the work.
4. I might have a lot to do, but as a true rotary nut, I never run out of time for rx7s!
Finally, we are opening a performance dyno shop sometime in the very near future, and I'm going to use my car as advertisement at the tracks. The car is being built to compete...how can we gain a good rep if I'm driving a car built by somebody else, and the knowledge gained everytime I do motor swaps is worth more to me then any time or money I waste...
