Im new to this forum and hope someone can help. I have an 88 SE with a 13b 6port, Mikuni sidedraft, Racing beat header and presilencer, N1 mufflers, Centerforce clutch, and Accel 8.8 wires. I recently removed the EFI and installed the Mikuni 44 I was having trouble starting it so I sent it out for a complete rebuild. I got it back and it starts every time. I can get it to idle good but, the throttle response is horrible if the pedal is pushed quickly. I have the manual and found that the screws on the back of the barrels only tune the idle and everything else is jets. The car is running lean and I dont want to blow it up. Im using a holley blue fuel pump and holley regulator delivering 3 psi of fuel. Does anyone know the correct jets for the 6 port motor? The jets in it now are:

Idle jets 62.5

Accel pump 90

Main Air 240

Main fuel 190

I got these sizes off the computer but never had a second opinion as to what should be in there.

Any help is GREATLY appreciated

I know nothing about the mikuni setup. But it sounds like the accell pump and its squirters may be the culprit.

Im doing the RB/Holley carb combo and I ran into the same problem.

I dont think many FC's are running carbs on here. you may have better luck talking with the 1st gen guys for a general idea. Although I dont understand why you would put on carbs if you dont know how to tune them. Best bet may be to research how to tune carbs before making any changes so you understand what your doing when you mess with the jets. Wouldn't hurt to look for Makuni specific info. all carbs are similar but they have their own little differences.

Just reread that, sorry if the question about why you'd put on cars reads like I'm being an ***. Honest curiousity as to why you'd put on a carb.
